There is something about Buffalo's First Ward, a working-class neighborhood in the
south end of the city initially populated by immigrants — most notably the Irish — who labored in the hulking grain elevators along the Buffalo River. I put together this video tribute to the neighborhood, where people are tough, loyal, friendly and always willing to have a beer with you. The music was written by my brother, Joe.
